Homemade Chicken Nuggets
Want to make your own chicken nuggets? Absolutely! And the best part: no artificial additives and no deep-frying oil needed. With our recipe, they turn out super crispy on the outside and irresistibly juicy on the inside—all in the air fryer, using very little fat. So grab your wooden spoon and let’s get started!
- Serves: 3–4 people
- Equipment: MZ 500 multi-chopper
Ingredients
- 500 g chicken breast
- 2 eggs
- 1 stale/dry bread roll
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp paprika powder
- 50 g cornflakes
- 100 g Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper
- Sunflower oil
Also needed:
- Baking paper
Instructions
- Finely chop the chicken breast in the MZ 500 multi-chopper along with one egg, salt, pepper, 1 tablespoon of cornstarch, 1 tablespoon of paprika powder, and half of the Parmesan cheese.
- With wet hands, take tablespoon-sized portions of the mixture, shape them into small nuggets, and place them on a baking tray lined with baking paper.
- Place the shaped nuggets and tray in the freezer for 30 minutes. This makes breading easier later.
- In the meantime, prepare the coating. Add the bread roll, cornflakes, salt, pepper, 1 tablespoon paprika powder, and the remaining Parmesan cheese to the multi-chopper and pulse into a coarse breadcrumb mixture.
- Take the nuggets out of the freezer. Dip them first in beaten egg, then coat them in the breadcrumb mixture.
- Lightly spray the nuggets with sunflower oil and place them in the air fryer basket. Bake at 200 °C for about 15 minutes until golden brown.
- Serve warm with your favorite dip—and enjoy!
