Smoky Power Omelet
This recipe was created in collaboration with the lovely Alice from Stilecht, a beautiful store in the old town of Dinkelsbühl. The shop is redesigned every few weeks, offering a fresh mix of hand-picked home décor, gourmet delights, and sustainable spice blends. Alice shared some of her signature spice blends with us, and the first one we tried was “Bowl Glück.” It adds a fragrant, smoky twist to Alice’s original recipe: the Smoky Power Omelet. Naturally, we prepared it using our trusted Omelette Chef ‘Oskar’.
- Serves: 3–4 people
- Equipment: Omelette maker (Oskar OM 950)
Ingredients
- 4 eggs
- 4 tablespoons cream
- 1 teaspoon spice blend ‘Bowl Glück’
- 1/2 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 1/2 small zucchini, grated
- 2–3 mushrooms, thinly sliced
- 50 g grated cheese
- 1 tablespoon butter
- Salt and pepper
Instructions
- Add a bit of butter to the omelette plates and preheat the Omelette Chef Oskar.
- Place the chopped vegetables into the Oskar and cook with the lid closed for about 7 minutes. Open occasionally to stir.
- In the meantime, whisk the eggs in a bowl. Add the cream and grated cheese, then season with the ‘Bowl Glück’ spice blend, salt, and pepper. Mix everything well.
- Once the vegetables are ready, remove them from the Oskar and stir them into the egg mixture. Combine thoroughly.
- Pour the mixture into the omelette plates, being careful not to fill more than two-thirds full. Close the lid and cook for 7 to 8 minutes.
Tip: For serving, place the omelet on a bed of salad, top with sliced avocado, and finish with a sprinkle of the 'Bowl Glück' spice mix.
